The book The China Study by T. Colin Campbell is a great read, or listen as the case maybe (I like my audio books).
This book cuts to chase right from the word go, the authors recommend;
that people eat a whole food, plant-based diet and avoid consuming beef, poultry, eggs, fish and milk as a means to minimize and/or reverse the development of chronic disease.
That is the book in a nut shell and the rest supports this statement with how a whole food, plant based diet is beneficial to all humans, and how the current Western path of food and drugs is not beneficial to all humans.
One of the main focuses in the book is cancer and it’s connection with how we are eating. The authors explain scientific studies and their results that show the correlation between animal-based diets with disease.
This book highlights why choosing a whole food, plant-based way of life is a long term healthy option and is worth the read.
